At the start of this unit, the grade fives discussed and shared their beliefs. They agreed with each other, and disagreed with each other over certain beliefs. However, they all agreed that these differences were a GOOD thing, which shows their thoughtfulness.
We discussed how symbols represent different beliefs, and how they can express individual beliefs or those shared by bigger communities.
Here are some pictures of the students sharing items that they feel are important to them, because they represent their personality.
